Faculty Guild Names Dr. Emma Zone as SVP of Academic Operations and Innovation
SCHOLAR-PRACTITIONER AND HIGHER EDUCATION ADMINISTRATOR BRINGS MORE THAN 20 YEARS OF ACADEMIC OPERATIONS, TEACHING AND CURRICULUM DEVELPOMENT EXPERIENCE
ARLINGTON, Va. – April 23, 2018 — Faculty Guild, an educational services organization offering personalized professional development to help higher education faculty members improve their own teaching and produce better student outcomes, has named Dr. Emma Zone as its senior vice president of academic operations and innovation.
With professional facilitators, a community of peers and easy-to-use online software, Faculty Guild offers higher education instructors an opportunity to consider their own teaching choices through a prism of research-based quality teaching practices. The company’s approach is based on six years of research, development, application and analysis, led by Dr. Gail Mellow, president of LaGuardia Community College.

Zone most recently served as vice provost for Colorado Technical University. She has also served as an associate dean for Argosy University. Previously, she taught at the university, community college and secondary levels. She continues her appointment as chair of the Gates-funded Courseware in Context Framework Executive Committee.
Zone earned her Ed.D. in Educational Leadership from Argosy University. She received her M.A. in English from DePaul University and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Illinois.
